CBT Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
and how
it can help you
CBT Cognitive behavioural therapy provides new ways of thinking and ultimately feeling within a short period of time, this therapy usually takes between only 6 - 9 sessions.
This is opposed to, often frequently long therapies. Some therapies can go on for many months and even years which, paradoxically may hold that person back from going forward. The longer therapy continues, constantly reminds the client, that their problem is something drastic, becomes more reliant on the therapist, with nothing happening in respect to coping or feeling better.
CBT can be used for many presenting problems, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anorexia, bulimia, OCD, insomnia, relationship problems, weight reduction, sexual dysfunction and many other issues.
CBT is a solutions based therapy
Providing cognitive, behavioural therapy, CBT, and interpersonal approaches within or without hypnosis, allows you to think and feel differently and produces sophisticated ways of overcoming future problems. Solutions to problem solving are imperative, significantly reducing a relapse. These coping skills and mechanisms are resources within all of us, allowing us to change our maladaptive approach, creating positive changes to take place.
During the past few years, CBT has become the first choice of therapeutic modality, encouraged and recommended by GP's and the psycho-medical fraternity.
CBT has been found helpful in resolving:
Depression | Stress Management
Weight reduction | Panic Attacks
Anorexia | Agoraphobia / other Phobias
Bulimia | Social phobia | |
Anxiety | Sexual issues | |
OCD | PTSD |
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnotherapy can help you to resolve the emotional conflicts that are causing the problem. These are nothing more than bottled up emotions and so once found and released, the symptom itself then dissolves.
